QUALIFIED NURSES OBTAIN REGISTRATION TO WORK IN AUSTRALIA

"<center

There is a global shortage of nurses around the world, Australia being one of those countries.  The population is getting older, although in better health, and living much longer.  Because of the baby boom after WW II these people are now reaching retirement age, and their health starts to deteriorate, and require more care.

There are vacancies for qualified nurses in AUSTRALIA, a vacancy for QUALIFIED FILIPINO NURSES, in many fields.  Of course, there are other opportunities of employment in other overseas locations but when Filipinos are educated in English, Australia could be a perfect location, and not far in an airplane.

We know being a nurse in the Philippines does have problems after you are qualified, and it is because there is the oversupply of Filipino nurses, and PAID jobs are hard to find.  Overseas jobs are often an option for a Filipino nurse with qualifications, and no experience.

Australia WILL only accept nurses with qualifications, and experience with a pass in the I.E.L.T.S. of 7 in each section.  Australia does have some of the most comprehensive, and most up to date medical facilities in the world, and does give opportunities that any graduate nurse could wish for.  A job overseas in Australia could be just what you are looking for.

The climate in certain places in Australia is similar to most parts of the Philippines but can be a little colder than the higher city of Baguio.  Working overseas in Australia does have benefits that most Filipino nurses could only imagine.  Filipino nurses working in Australia work under the same working conditions as any Australian nurse works and is paid the same amount of money.

There is a short cut to having experience and that is a very intensive training program that operates here costing around $10,000AUD which would cost around 320,000PHP, out of the reach of most Filipino Nurses.

The AIM of this site and the guide offered is to help each qualified nurse walk through the minefield of forms and qualifications, rules and regulations to obtain employment as a QUALIFIED NURSE in Australia.  Most people think Sydney is Australia.  Things keep changing and there are other options available these days.

We can do a lot to help qualified nurses gain registration in Australia, that’s if you are qualified.  If you are not qualified then we suggest that you make every effort to do so.

We will prepare an Aussie resume so you will have the best possible chance of a job here after you qualify.  Some resumes supplied are interesting, to say the least.

Nursing in Australia will be a very rewarding and valuable experience for a qualified nurse, offering challenges and a new outlook on health care.  Qualified nurses will find that the experience enhances their development and increases their confidence in both a personal and a professional capacity.  They will work in some of the most up to date medical facilities in the world, working with some of the finest medical people available.

Opportunities for qualified nurses to work in Australia are varied, whatever type of work is undertaken there are many issues to consider before taking a position.  The first is perhaps exploring the reasons for wanting to work in Australia.

There will be many positive reasons for wanting to nurse in Australia including the challenges of working and living in another country with a different culture.  Qualified nurses from the Philippines who are looking to work in other developed countries may be attracted by higher salaries and a better standard of living or even a cooler climate as it is in Sydney but can be warmer and drier in Queensland.

However, nursing in Australia may not be as glamorous as it first appears, and the reality of overseas work may be very different from that expected.  It is worth noting that leaving the country to work in Australia because of personal difficulties at work or at home may not be the easy option it first appears.

Much thought and study should be done before the decision to take the plunge.

FIL NURSE AUSTRALIA will provide advice and answer any question a qualified nurse might have, no matter how trivial it might appear to be.  The advice will be honest based on our own personal experiences and knowledge.

We have provision to talk on the net or in person with someone experienced in this area to give you advice.

Seek all the knowledge about Australia, Australians, and nursing in Australia before you make your first move…

WORKING IN AUSTRALIA

It is important to understand how the health sector in Australia is organized.  There may be very different working practices for nurses, even in developed countries.

Speaking English is the language of our country and if you are a professional we expect you to have a good understanding of English and be able to speak it well and that must be backed up by an IELTS examination with a minimum pass in each group of 7.00.  Most nurses are familiar with IELTS.  People educated in such countries as USA, Canada, England, Ireland and our friends across the ditch in New Zealand are exempt from this test.

PREPARING TO WORK IN AUSTRALIA NEEDS CAREFUL ORGANIZATION!

Information on registration as a nurse, nursing practices can be found in many places on the net.  Information on employment conditions, visas and work permits, income tax, pensions, health insurance, medical insurance and personal health in Australia is also available on the net.

If everything is done correctly there is no reason why you cannot live in Australia permanently so let’s do it right the first time.
